Same neighborhood, different set

After presenting the first set of photos, it became clear that focusing on the individual was not going to work. I switched my focus over to showing more of the people, so the event is easier to read.

A neighborhood to celebrate

My event was a Habitat for Humanity block party was thrown in celebration of the finished neighborhood. I had a wide variety of photos to chose from, so I went with more of the close up shots. I wanted to show a story of the people who were moving into the homes.

Why didn't the chicken cross the road?

Urban Landscapes
When I set out to take these pictures I was still fuzzy on what my concept would be. After I got my first few photos of walkways and paths beaten into the grass, I decided to focus on that subject. It was not until I walked over a crosswalk I realized how important they are to move around the city. Without a crosswalk, there would be total confusion. The connection from sidewalk to sidewalk is my urban landscape of choice.
